The Tranquility Floatation Tank

The Tranquility Floatation Tank is an attractive, acrylic, airy pod containing water to a depth of 10” with a very high concentration of Epsom salts (Magnesium sulphate) for single floating

                                             Features:

Flotation tank - The TranquilityFull length motorised door opening and closing at the touch of a button. The door can be used fully open or closed to any height selected and can be programmed to a timer. Emergency battery opens door and keeps tank light lit for at least 30 minutes in case of a power cut.

Construction: Hand finished quality GRP double skinned moldings with Celutex (TM) fire resistant insulation and concealed control box and filter housing. Full airflow design ventilation, draught free.

The Tranquility Floatation Pod is produced in white as standard, but as an optional extra any colour can be specified from the large range on offer.

Dimensions: 252cm x 160cm x 161 cm high. The tallest person it will take is 234 cm or 7′ 8″. The room size required is 3.5m x 3m which would include the shower space.
The powerful pump and 30 micron filter system, including UV when chosen, are managed by an                   automatic controller for continuous heating, thermostatically controlled to 36º C.

 

The weight when filled is approx. 850 Kg and is within the minimum standard for floor loading under water. There is also a sound insulating mat.

Designed and constructed in accordance with EN 60335-1 and EN 60335-20-60, UL and CA  Requirements

Power rating : 1500 Watts 230V AC Class One (earthed) suitable for 220 to 240 volts (or in USA & Canada 110V 20 Amp.) All internal controls are air coupled giving absolute electrical safety, exceeding all requirements.

Weight: water and salt – 750Kg (7.5KN)/product – 100Kg (1.0KN)/standard person – 100Kg (1KN) = Total weight – 950Kg (9.5KN). Load bearing foot print = 2m² – 500Kg/m² (5KN/m²). Total product foot print = 3m² – 333Kg/m² (3.33KN/m²). These are within the minimum standard for floor loading, but if the floor is questionable, we recommend you use a structural engineer to assess it and make recommendations for the loading given

A new technology driver which excite the whole GRP skin giving excellent quality sound. These turn the float tank into an 8 ohm speaker which can be driven by any domestic CD player with rated power of 5 to 7 watts RMS. High power amplifiers should not be used because their output will cause voltages higher than the European safety limit of 12v AC. The CD player must not be located in the float room (unless it too is run from 12 volts) as salty drips on the CD player and the CDs will cause damage. NOTE: These are NOT PA 100V Line speakers commonly used in buildings, this type of technology can not be used on water based product
